Giant Papillon

The Giant Papillon rabbit breed, also known as the Papillon King or the Large Papillon, is a large rabbit breed that originates from France. It is a relatively new breed, having been developed in the 1960s by crossing French Papillon rabbits with larger breeds such as the Checkered Giant and the Flemish Giant.

As the name suggests, the Giant Papillon is a large rabbit breed, with a typical weight range of 10-16 pounds (4.5-7.3 kg). They have a distinctive butterfly-shaped marking on their nose, which is the hallmark of the Papillon breed. The fur of the Giant Papillon is short and dense, and can come in a variety of colors, including black, blue, chocolate, and gray.

The Giant Papillon is a friendly and sociable breed, and makes a good pet for those who have the space to accommodate their large size. They are known to be docile and easy to handle, and enjoy interaction with their owners. They are also a popular breed for showing, due to their impressive size and distinctive markings.

In terms of care, the Giant Papillon requires regular grooming to keep their fur in good condition. They also need plenty of exercise and room to move around, so a large hutch or outdoor enclosure is recommended. As with all rabbits, a balanced diet that includes plenty of hay, fresh vegetables, and a small amount of pellets is essential to keep them healthy.
